If you see this plant...avoid it!  That is the warning from the New York State Department of Health.  Hogweed can cause severe skin rashes, burning blisters and long-lasting scars.  Exposure to the plant sap and sunlight can product painful, burning blisters within 24-48 hours as well as the possibility of purple or black scars.
